Renewing Your Thoughts

Challenge Your Thoughts
Corinthians 10:3-5 The battle begin the moment you reach the point where you can begin to think for yourself. Once it starts, it's never over - not until you take your last breath. It's the battle for your mind. Your mind is like a castle, a stronghold or a fort. It's targeted by Satan as if there were a bulls-eye in the center. Your beliefs, however, determine your behavior and that's where the battle is won. Your mind is a battle field its time to challenge your thoughts, God gave us free will to chose freely whatever we accept as ok for ourselves. You can start today to consciously re-direct your thoughts and feel more in control - no matter what the circumstances. Even if you've been thinking negatively for years, it's not too late to build new, positive, healthier patterns of thought and start the journey toward a more satisfying life. If you allow something polluted or dead in there, it will continue to contaminate the mind for a long time. That's why we have such a hard time forgetting a dirty joke or a movie scene for so long. Sin-stained stuff makes a deeper impression than we could ever imagine. So long after the song is off the radio or the show is over, the pollution planted by them will live in your heart and continue to poison your thoughts and desires. Personal testimony I was having trouble battling with impure thoughts during the time I was fasting. Truthfully they had been there all along but became more intense during my fast. God was dealing with my thought life and I was so annoyed by those thoughts I started to pray to God to take them away and they would calm down a bit but, then they would emerge again and I would pray them away and then God finally revealed to me to guard my eyes and ear gate he told me to be carefully what I allow in my mind meaning TV and music and vulgar language so I became more cautious about those things and he has helped me conquer my thoughts. Thank you Lord

The frontal lob enable us to see our own thoughts, speak to your bad thoughts as if it was a mountain in your way and tell it to move. We have to conquer bad thoughts one thought at a time. Pray to god for direction and discernment to be able to identify bad thoughts. Human reasoning isn't enough to discern spiritual good from evil, but believers have the "mind of Christ"--a godly mindset that directs their choices and actions. We are to strive to abandon our old mindset and adopt a Christ-centered worldview.1 Corinthians 2:15-16 Deal with them promptly this is what I meant by challenging your thoughts, when you see them call them out rite then don’t allow them to lye dormant and rule your actions and emotion self-consciously.. bad thoughts are from the devil and his demons there meant to manifest and destroy your life. Sneaky I know who would have thought one bad thought could do so much damage. The struggle between "the flesh" and "the spirit" is emphasized a lot in the New Testament, and this passage sums it up well. It's one thing to want to live a godly life, but it's another to actually master our habits and behaviors! Human willpower isn't sufficient on its own to tame our natural impulse toward sin--we need the help of God's grace. Romans 7:23

Changing Your Thoughts
God wired us for love to have a mind like Christ, True, perfect love--love that is Christ like--drives out any fear. It's love grounded in faith that God is in control of all things 1 John 4:18. For God did not give us a spirit of timidity, but a spirit of power, of love and of self-discipline 2 timothy 1:7. Jesus Christ is our model in all things. We are to try in all things to adopt the mindset of Jesus, with God's help. Our attitude shapes our actions and our very nature. The Bible often cautions that what our hearts and minds focus on influences our behavior, and the sort of character that we exhibit to others. Christians should focus their thoughts and attention on things that truly matter, not on passing distractions or worldly possessions that will pass away. We're to set our minds on heavenly values and teachings. Colossians 3:2. As our thoughts influence our behavior get rid of negative thoughts by reading the word of God. As you in steal the word your thoughts will began to become positive, the bible says so a man thinks, so is he. Thinking positive thoughts will control your reactions to things in life. Fix these words of mine in your hearts and minds; tie them as symbols on your hands and bind them on your foreheads Deuteronomy 11:17-19 . The words of God speaks to your heart and your heart controls your mind, hide his word in your heart and as a result peace will flow. How do we find true peace in life? It's a question that countless people have asked throughout the ages, but the answer is right here in the Bible, and it's surprisingly simple trust in God, and His peace will fill us. Isaiah 26:3. A spirit of self-discipline--sometimes translated as "a sound mind"--is one of the characteristics of Christ-followers. Nobody who has experienced God's grace need be timid or afraid with God at their side.

Renewing Your Mind
The power of life and death lye’s in your tongue chose life be mindful that your filthy language is a reflection of a bad attitude. It’s high time we confront this and see it for what it is and deal with it knowing that it is not pleasing to our father in heaven. It’s not hard to change it just starts with the renewing of the mind, self- discipline and some self- control and prayer is a big help too. Make a tree good and its fruit will be good, or make a tree bad and its fruit will be bad, for a tree is recognized by its fruit. You brood of vipers, how can you who are evil say anything good? For out of the overflow of the heart the mouth speaks. The good man brings good things out of the good stored up in him, and the evil man brings evil things out of the evil stored up in him. But I tell you that men will have to give account on the day of judgment for every careless word they have spoken. For by your words you will be acquitted, and by your words you will be condemned. When God saves us from sin, He doesn't just want to see an outward change in us. He wants to see a complete inner transformation of the way we think. We are called to renew our minds, casting off our old ways of thinking and rejecting the world's wisdom. Romans 12:2. Now that Christ is in your life, He wants to install some new attitudes about who you are, who He is, who you can be because you belong to Jesus. He wants to enable you to see your family as He sees them, the problem people in your life as He sees them, and the events of your life as He sees them. Who knows us better than we know ourselves? Our creator--and in this psalm, the writer invites God to examine his heart and mind, identify his true needs and anxieties, so God can provide help for him to have eternal life. Psalm 139:23.

Right thinking begins with the words we say to ourselves. We are the architects of our own lives and unwittingly create pain and suffering for ourselves due to the unconscious thoughts we focus on within. Every thought you think creates that very reality for you. If you see yourself as lacking and poor then you will be lacking and poor. If your thinking is going after and gaining wealth then wealth is what you will obtain. It's simple to manifest in your life whatever you desire. Visualize yourself as if you already ARE where you want to be or the state of well being you desire to be in. I mean get in your head and see it, feel it, hear it and taste it. What emotions does it bring up? Feel them! What you think and do draws more of the same to you. Change your attitude and behavior to what you want drawn into your life. Taking care of yourself and eating properly is the lifestyle of a healthy active person. Healthy active people think of themselves as healthy and active. Begin a healthier lifestyle. Remember, you are what you eat. So eat healthy foods. Take every negative thought and immediately change it into a positive one. There is good and beauty in all things. Just look for it, it's there I promise you.
